TAKE A HIKE

WHITE MOUNTAINS, NH (taken by me) The feeling of fog consuming my hiking boots on a cold morning in the quiet mountains of New Hampshire as I climb to the top is one of my favorite feelings. I feel most connected to nature when the air is still, and not much talking happens. Having a destination makes the feeling so much better. Having a view makes me feel like there are places on Earth that humans have touched upon, but refuse to destroy because the beauty of the destination makes us feel more alive. That is the kind of feeling I get when I hike to the top of a mountain; any mountain. Alive. I feel like when anyone travels, it makes us all feel like we have a purpose. We learn new things about ourselves, and gain more respect for the Earth as a whole. I think that traveling anywhere, whether it is on foot, on your bike, on a plane, or in a car, we all feel something that we aren't used to.
